what visual things do I look for to see iFt tractor is a TO or a Te

A major item is the bottom of steering column and the transmission cover: if poured as one piece it is a TE, Tranny cover separate from steering column it is a TO. The TO has the steering box and the shifter cover as two units. The TE they are one unit. The trans housing on the TO is cast iron on the TE it is an mag. alloy. The TO has Delco electrical. The TE has Lucas.
