Well, I got the 40 home and pulled the pan to see if I could see why there was very little oil pressure, especially since I was told on purchase last fall that it had about 3 hours on an overhaul. I found about an 1/8" of black crud in the pan, so I figured it must have been a rough 3 hours!! :^) Anyway, the bearings looked good so I pulled the oil pump apart and it showed a good bit of wear. The pump housing is nice and I've got the new parts back in and I'm going to put the pan on tomorrow. Here's hoping......
