ferguson corn planter

just bought a ferguson d p o a 21 3 pt planter. not much info available on the internet. does anybody know if i can get a owners manual for this model? also it has 3 sets of plates, looks like a couple sets of flat corn seed plates, and a set of soybean plates. can you still get plates for this unit?

The Ferguson planters used an odball plate that only fit their own planter and Lincoln Ag never made a plate to fit so only option is if luckey enough to find at a swap meet. They made both a chain drive (most popular) and a belt drive unit (what I had). Forget the model numbers, have books on belt drive that I have copied for people. The Massey planter made after the Massey-Ferguson merger may also use that plate but not sure as there were way more Ferguson planters than Massey Planters.

mine has a chain drive, leroy. the planter is in good shape,sat in a barn the last 20 years. the fertilizer boxes are in good shape. the unit turns freely. there are 3 sprokets on the fertilizer and planter units, i guess this adjust the spacing on the seed drop? how do you move the chain to a different sprocket? i paid $75.00 for it . i know it is worth more than that. i hope i can find some plates or the right size seed.
