Ferguson D-PO-A21

Putting a D-Po-A21 ferguson planter back together, but I need some seed plates for it. Does anyone have a source for them they would like to share?

That is an odd one and nothing else comes close that you can modify for it. Have no Idea where to get anything but being an 11" approxamatly diameter even McCormick that is larger than Deere is still too small to use for modification. I sold my planter to a collector of Ferguson, don't remember exactly the shape or if could be cut out of a piece of flat steel or not. That is the only option I can think of.

I know I have a couple of NOS blade openers and some old hoppers but I can't remamber if the hoppers were dearborn or ferguson. They may interchange for all I know I know. they had a couple of plates, I think corn. I'll check tomorrow.

I have the same planter. it came with 3 sets of plates. 2 are corn plates, they are a large flat and a medium flat, and 1 bean plate. I havn't used the planter yet. with the plates I have, it will be hard to find seed. I too would like to find a source for plates, new, used, or nos. I have a jd 290 planter that I have 10 sets of plates for. easy to find them on ebay or Lincoln ag still makes them. I may restore the ferguson if I could find plates. good luck

Unless you find some NOS plates or somebody with a stash of used plates you probably won't be able to find any. You can't even get plates for the much later Massey planters.
