Ferguson Fuel Cap

I am restoring a TO35 ferguson. I found this cap in a box of tractor parts. From an online search of the patent number on the top, it appears to be a Ferguson fuel cap. The patent was registered in 1956, so it should for a tractor after that time.

Can anyone let me know what tractor(s) this cap went on? I cannot find a cap like this online.

Thanks.

if you are looking for a fuel tank cap for your tractor you will need one that is made for a tractor as the tank must be vented.

The caps made for newer cars are not vented and can not be used on our old tractors.

The fuel tank cap on my old TO-35 looks like the one in your picture.

Thanks for all the information and advice.

A couple of more questions....

Is this cap painted Ferguson Red only? Or is there a warning sticker on the cap?

Thanks.
