Ferguson TO-35

Bill, assuming that the person who stamped the SN plate simply grabbed a "T" instead of a number, your tractor would be a 1957 model. Can you post what the original tractor paint colors were and also the complete engine SN. That information will provide additional clues.

it should be on left side of engine on a aluminum tag about 1-1/4 by 5" or something close to these dimensions. On the TO 30 it is located behind the coil below #3 spark plug.

If yout tractor has gray sheet metal and metalic green castings (and you can be certain they are the original colors), then your tractor may be a 1955 or early 1956 but someone has attached a tractor SN plate that is not original.

Please post the casting numbers on the left side of the transmission casing, just below the steering box. it should be someting like "D-20-6", with the first letter designating the month, the middle number the day of the month, and the last digit being the last digit of the decade in which the transmissing housing was cast. D-20-6, as an example, would mean April 20, 1956.

I have a 1957 to35 the 1 also look like I and the 6 look like b this tractor is beige & flint gray Just a guss the T is a 7 , my last three look like this 7 I b ?? Dont know why

Paul-you wont believe this. I have a K-6- and then I cant read the next #. It looks like a 5 or 6 but ???. Are there any other tell tail signs between a 55,56,or 57?

The engine SN is on an aluminum tag on the left side of the engine near the distributor and not far below the engine head. The number should begin with Z 134, normally followed by a six-digit number. Be sure you also check for casting codes on the rear axles. The casting codes there are similar to those on the tranny but not identical.
