Fiberglass grill

The grill on my Oliver 550 is in rough shape and it was 60 out today, so I started repairing it . I got one side pretty well done on the back side. Its been 40 years since I did any body work , so its a learning all over experience. Napa only had gel fiberglass, it takes some getting used to. Start on the worse side tomorrow.

Looks good. Remember to put the fan behind you on high when the sanding part begins.

You can do it!

I am not a paint and body man, but for me fiberglass is much easier to work than metal!

I even fixed a plastic bumper that got a trailer ball poked through it. No clue what I was doing but, it was what I would call an acceptable repair!

I did it for a living. Superglue the cracks to reconsolidate the frazzled glass back together and hold loose parts in place. Use epoxy resin to wet out and bond the glass reinforcement. It bonds far better than polyester resin. Structural repairs on the out of sight side. Cosmetic repairs on front.
