Fieldpowerparts.com

Has anybody dealt with this company? I want to replace a couple of worn out boots on my JD 8100 drill and they have a really good price on the ones they have. A bit gun shy after reading some of the posts here. Thanks.

I wouldn't be in any big hurry to give my card number to an unknown. It'll probably cost you a whole bunch more than buying from a known supplier.

How do their prices compare to Shoup, Sloan Express, Abilene Machine or Worthington Ag.? Those are a proven trustworthy suppliers
of aftermarket parts such as you are looking for.

I might not have hit it right, but I web searched them some and didn't come up with anything other than the web pages for Fieldpowerparts.com. No physical location, no phone number, only contact is email. It may just be an eBay or Amazon type internet seller, but I like to see a physical address and phone number to checkout. BBB rating or such is good to find as well.

Edited to correct spelling.

Ended up finding used parts for a better price. Called the salvage yard I had thought about contacting, I'll post results.

Most CC companies now will let you generate a one time use virtual card number that works like your real number but it is only good for one time purchase: Here is the google result:

A temporary or virtual credit card number is a secure, randomly generated number linked to your real credit card account, used for online or contactless purchases to protect against fraud. These numbers often have customizable expiration dates or can be locked to a single merchant. Top issuers like American Express, Capital One, and Citi provide them through their apps or browser extensions.

But does that keep you from loosing your money on that purchase if the site is a scam and they didn't actually have what you thought you were buying?
