we got 'er going!!!!!

I owe a big thanks to the people on this forum! with out you guys, I wouldn't have gotten it going. You guys gave me so much help and useful information!!

Glad you got it going. What was the problem? How did you figure it out? And what was the solution?

How it all started was the starter kept slipping and clicking. so everyone recommended to start with getting a new solenoid. that didn't work at first, so I thought that it had to be a bad starter. that didn't fix the problem either. then I looked at some solenoid wiring diagrams and the Ford I & T shop manual (FO-4). it turns out that I had the solenoid wired wrong. after I fixed the error, it fired up right away! ohh... and at first the battery was dead as a door nail. so I got a new battery, that helped

But all in all the cost to fix was right around $100.00- that includes a new battery and solenoid.
