Final drive ratios

If there are any antique v-8 pullers that read this, I sure could use some help with final drive ratios?
I am about to build one of these tractors and haven"t got a clue as to what final ratio I"m going to be needing? 30:1 35:1? who knows.

I"m allowed right around 500 cu., one carb., 18.4x38"s, tractor trans., 6000 rpm's at 6500lbs.
Any one have any thoughts?
