Finish mower ID

Came with a recent tractor purchase. No ID tags I can find, but built pretty heavy. Any idea who made it?

It looks to have the same gear box as my Howse rotary. I don't know who made it, but it's a start.

Thanks, but those gearboxes are pretty generic, I had a Mohawk batwing mower that had one gearbox that had been replaced, looked exactly like yours.

You are right about gearboxes being fairly universal and many companies used the same ones. I don't know what that would have been branded as, but it looks to be designed very similar to an older Woods with a gearbox instead of the large drive pulley
