Finish Mower

I would like to purchase a better mower for my 1944 Model B. The tractor only has about 24 HP. I have been looking at a Frontier model GM-1072 mower. Will my model B handle this mower or do I need something smaller?

If your engine still has all-fuel pistons then it may not have much power.
If you put in gas pistons then it will have more power.

I have seen stock models H and unstyled B and early styled B all with 5 foot belly woods mowers om them. I have not ran any of them to see if you can cut any tall grass.
Assuming these worked ? yours should work ? on a 72" with the extra power of gas pistons. Unless you get tall heavy grass.

I have a 72" Bush Hog finish mower behind a late model A and tall grass will make it pop pretty hard. My mower has a high speed gearbox and might require a little more hp than what you're looking at but in my case I need about 30 hp at a minimum to run my mower well. These old two cylinders can pull a surprisingly heavy load with ease but PTO work isn't their strong suit.
