Finished my loader finally

Seems like it took me forever! It goes up and down and the bucket tilts both ways so I’ll call it success. I even got the steps I made squeezed between the loader and frame. On to another project!

Looks real good. Would you like to say what the brand of loader is? I would like to see some clear and close up pictures of that step and the space between the tire and loader frame? I have a big old Westendorf loader on a U-302 MM and it has to be so close to the tire there is barely room to get a big foot thru it. I had to mount the tires wide just to make it more comfortable. My loader was made for a long - six cylinder International (back mount) tractor and hangs out in front more than it should. I might get rid of it if I can't come up with a step to make climbing on more doable??

Looks like a reasonable job of mounting it. Just a fore warning, if you use it very heavily such as for dirt work I would say you are going to have a hard time keeping the bolts tight that go through those pipe bushings. If it becomes a problem welding rectangular plates between them nearly the full width of the bushings to sort of box them in would help. Considering those are probably SCHD 40 pipe, plates over 3/16” thick would be overkill.

I have similar concerns about the pipe spacers, especially the threaded part. Maybe there are plans to replace them with something more robust?

I am also hoping some of the bracketry that was shown in pictures in previous threads on this were just for mock-up and locating the frame.

Myself, I would either stack a bunch of thick plates to make the spacer and weld into a single mass, or at the very least use some heavy wall square tubing, box in the ends, and drill a hole in each end.

Here’s some pictures. Post your tractor and loader pictures, maybe someone can make suggestions for steps on it.

Nice job on the fabbing. I'll have to come over if it
ever cools off, & take a look---if they'll let me cross
the bridge.
