Good news its all back together and runs great as it did before. I always am nervous after tearing into something that something will go wrong. 2 issues..governor leaks at the bottom. I was thinking it would leak from the side because it just looked like it would but I was wrong. Maybe I forgot to tighten the bolts tight. I dunnno. I don't recall if I used rtv on that gasket either. Easy fix...as you may remember we destroyed the original pump because the pto shaft was stuck. So we took one off a parts tractor cleaned it up real nice including removing the safety valve and cleaning. It did move in and out before we put it in the tractor 3 weeks ago. We just added the hydro fluid today. Well the lift arms don't go down. Not even with pressure on them. So gonna pull the inspection cover and try get it unstuck. The touch control is also real hard to move downwards. But other than that..no leaks anywhere else. Going Friday I believe to get an 850 that the engine is apart on but has nice rears and nice clam shell fenders. I need them for our 860. $500 for the whole tractor.

Well you have out done me in both R&R and paint. Very professional looking, great job. I sent you an email on the 18th about a photo I need now I know what ya were busy with.

That's right. I completely spaced it off trying to get this one done. I'll get that for ya. I can have mark stop out there Tuesday after work. We started up a crappy 8n today that we took on partial trade last fall and it had no oil pressure. So that doesn't look good. Its a side mount so it will be a good rebuiler I guess.

Looks very nice. I like how you painted the exhaust black. When my lift arms wouldn't go down it turned out to be a stuck exhaust valve in the pump.

The exhaust was painted red. We just ran it long enough to burn the paint off. Im thinking that's what the issue is. Hoping luck is on my side and I can unstick it through the inspection cover

looks good actually great. I like the lift arms painted black they stand out nice. Hope it's an easy fix as said earlier in post.

I have pried the control valve to the point I knew I was gonna break something.. I did'N and got it free and it worked great you don't have much to lose lean on it...

You have the old pump measure were the bushing sets in the pump (for reference for when you install it) drive it out for the experience there is nuttijn to it... The control valve and the bushing should come out on every pump you have your hands on what lives/trapped in the hydraulic circuit the bushing hide's needs to come out... I may get beat once but not twice

If the gov is leaking were it mounts up and you used GOOD RTV you have a come back and will lick that calf over again... If the RTV seal looks good you may have another issue.... RTV must have a squeaky clean surface to seal on

He had the valve out to clean it but not
the bushing. I'm going to be lucky and it
will come free easily. :) I ordered some
new gaskets yesterday in case the pump has
to come out. I should have ordered a new
gov gasket I'll have to call n see if it
can be added to my order before it ships.
I'll post back after we work on it. May not
be this weekend. Have to check see if the
Morels are popping yet. I don't remember if
I used rtv. I know I did on every other
gasket. No signs of leaks anywhere else
thank goodness. Too many long nights
working on it.

Live and learn on the pump deal...

I don't use a gasket on the gov I use permatex ultra grey RTV..
If I did use a gasket it would get RTV on both sides...

You will learn no to lick that calf over again....
