Got done with planting yesterday. Got started on the 5th i think. Chiseled some I hadn't got fall plowed with the 1030.

Used my new disc after, its 18' and the harrow is 20'. Makes a good load on the 1030 in spring plowing.

Planted that with the 830 and my 444 planter.

Planted some barley at home next. Was easier to pull the disc and harrow on fall plowing because it wont go in as deep. Used my 530 and D drill.

Even used my new 646 for a seed tender. Lol

Hadn't called manure for a couple years so had a lot to do, did about 100 loads or so but didnt get done, but ran out of area to spread. Will finish that after the barley comes off.

The old dc has been doing that for 7 decades and still works as good as new. For bedding manure like that its faster than my big loader because it has the manure bucket with forks.

I used the 830 and dad's old 4-16s plow to plow some sod. I spent a lot of days pulling that plow with dad's 830, then 870 then 730 as a kid.

I left a few acres of barley so I could do a ditch to drain a few low spots. Used my 1030 and scraper. Hauled most of the dirt pulled out back into the low spots. Took some of the nice black dirt up to use around the new shed to finish the landscaping there.

Here is a video of me driving the length to show the whole thing.

Also fixed up this spot at the end of the ditch I dug a couple years ago. This spot was so rutted it held water and wouldn't dry. I was able to chisel it last fall but it still had big low spots that held water this year. I did some work with the loader to level it and this year was the first time I was able to plant it.

With that done that was the end of planting for the year. Glad thats done, now just clean up and put away stuff.

We are going on a vacation this summer. We are going to take a couple weeks and head west stopping for some riding in the big horns with our side by side, then on to yellowstone park and cody wy for a few days. We are picking up some stuff I've bought in Wyoming and Nebraska, so not totally fun. Lol. Hope I can take it for 2 weeks! Longest I've gone was 5 days last year to Vegas and 8 days 20 years ago to the black hills.
