have a u thats been running fine with a fire order 1243 it should be 1342 no loose of power on dino either way is that possiable or am i looking @it wrong

It is not possible to have two cylinders missing out of four and not have a loss of power if that is what you are asking. That is exactly what happens when two wires are crossed inadvertanly. It's either running on two or four, can't run the same either way.

i know thats what i thought but looking down on distributer counterclockwise the wires come off cap and go to the cylinders 1243 ?

thanks had a brain fort dis was off 180 should have seen that some time the more you look the less you see:-}

No use of continuing this discussion if as bergy said in his original post the wires could be plugged in either way with no loss of power on the dyno and with the distiburor 180 out now. Beats me. If a Diesel is 180 out, thats one thing lines prebent to fit the pump, a Gas, just move the wires, the gas engine dont care which tower the spark comes out, just that it's there at the right time. Gotta admit confusion on this one.

sorry mEI late night trying to get done looked at rotation wrong and put dis in 180 out running now thought i put it back were it was before thanks for the input
