Whats a good rebuild kit for a farmall 400 ? Has 4 1/8 firecraters now that were stuck had to damage one to get unstuck. Would like to get firecraters. Any aftermarket companies that make them?

Unless you're building a pulling tractor or plowing for days on end, it's a waste of money and effort to secure these rare pieces that no one will ever see ( unless you take pictures during assembly). You won't be able to tell the difference if you are raking hay.

Aren't most offerings for the Letter & Number series domed theses days? I haven't seen a set of new flat tops in a while.

⚡️Got flat tops in 3 1/4 diameter in Super C from my local shop . I like them , plenty of lugging for that tractor , ⚡
It ran the ac 72 combine in field of sunflowers. Good enough test for us .

Are you set on NOS IH Firecraters? The “stepped head” pistons such as the ones YT offers in the link Dennis gave above are essentially equivalent. They raise the compression to somewhere above the 6.3 : 1 that the tractor was originally. Pistons from vendors like YT are easy to get, drop them in your cart and check out. IH NOS Firecraters take searching to find and probably command a higher price.
