Fireing Order on Dist

Dell just noted that on my '52 8n dist that the spark plug wire plug-in firing order is 1243 CCW on the dizzy-cap. In the manual FO86 the little arrows on the shaft/cam lobe point in clockwise direction. What does that mean? Shouldn't the shaft rotate CCW too?

I think if you crank over the engine with the cap off you will see that the shaft rotates as the book shows.

Sooo.. if the shaft is going CW & the wires on the dst cap are CCW firing order then the firing is actually backwards??

So Dell was wrong in that the wires should be plugged into the cap in a Clock Wise direction of 1243, not CCW direction?

BOTH distributors used on the "N" series turn CCW, the front mount AND the "side mount!

Pic shows the BOTTOM view of the distributor - so looking from the top, it would be rotating CCW, which is where the cap sits.

Sorry if I was getting you confused, I was led astray by the picture in the book also. Got to learn to kept my fingers off of the key board until I know what I am talking about.
