Got my first issue of the N News yesterday. I've wanted a subscription for a long time and finally sprang for one.

Thanks to Chris, Bruce, and all the others who contribute to it.

You're welcome. Chris has a few more articles to his credit than I do. (and writes better too!)

I've been a subscriber now for almost 15 years. I think I've submitted 4 or 5 articles; Chris & I did a couple of them together. My article on front distributors will be in the next issue.

Bruce, was reading an old article you & Chris did (in 2010 I think) about removing the shifter cover. What was the purpose of the small spring & ball that's easily lost?
Seems I once knew but I be danged if I can remember now. Too many birthdays.

Colin, some of the best money you'll ever spend.
FYI, it don't hurt to leave the renewal card laying around come holidays & birthdays.
It's an inexpensive gift so we're actually doing [i:effa8ef07c]them[/i:effa8ef07c] a favor!

Don't put a lot of money on this answer....but as I recall, it's the detent ball for the reverse shifter.
Well, if that was it maybe I didn't know after all. Not ringing any bells anyway! :D

not me. ;)

i write terrible. just ask my spell checker!

Rob has to use a decoder ring to wade thru the typo's that make it thru my word processor programs spell checker. ;)

I just put an ad in the classifieds section for back issues (55) of the newsletter. take a peek if interested. literature section.

I look forward to reading it!

As I recall, the original "Tips" ran in published version in the N News several years back, right? I find myself frequently referring to it here on YT. A great resource.

I enjoyed reading your article on the fuel shut-off valve. Right now I'm using a shop rag, changed out every other day, to catch the drips so that the fuel doesn't damage the new paint. Gonna put your article to use here shortly. Thank you!

" Right now I'm using a shop rag, changed out every other day, ...."

LOL! That's what I was doing on the 740 until I figured out that just leaving it turned on stopped the drip! (ok, yea, tip # 9!)

But I have every intention of fixing it..... :)

There's always something that needs attention for sure! Mine unfortunately leaks on or off and a little bit of fuel sure makes a mess.

remember.. if you fix ALL the problems. another comes up. just find one you can live with and stick with it! ;)

Been a subscriber since about 1992. Got all the back issues they offered too (although, not sure where they are now!). Always useful and an interesting read.

adapted from a ?edie murphy? joke.. but applies.

his joke was on the warning lables on cigs. he said just dig around till you find one you like.
