Flail Mower

Both of these are 3cyl. Will a 3000 and a 4000 lift and handle a 7ft JD model 25A Flail mower? I think it weigh 900lbs.I would rather have a 6ft, but the deal on the 7ft is good.

I for got I had this book. The 4000 will, but not the 3000, so I need to find a 6ft, that way I can used it on ether tractor.

I would think a 3000 should lift more than 900 pounds.

Sales literature says a 3000 can lift 1700 pounds.

I have ran a 7' Ford flail on my 671 just fine. Not sure the weight difference between the Ford and the Deere. Your 3000 should be at least as good as the 671.

3000 will lift 2000 lb at the lift arm. To be sure, would be nice if you can get mower and tractor together.

I have that same mower and it runs fine on my 3000 (71 3cyl diesel). I do have a loader on the tractor so that might help balance the weight.
