flared copper fuel lines

What are your thoughts on sealants for flared copper fuel line connections? Anybody use Teflon tape? How to make it less likely that these lines and connections will leak if I ever get to trying to start this old Case L.
 
Sealants are not recommended for soft drawn copper flares. It just provides some separation that promotes leakage. You're just screwing youself.

1, flares don't need sealant.

2, copper is a poor / unsafe choice for a fuel line... use brake line instead...
