Flexible Propane Line

I am plumbing propane to my dual fuel generator. I am running about 12 feet, the tank has a regulator that reduces the pressure to 11-13 inches of water. I need 1/2 ID line to run the generator. The flexible hose I am finding is like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D4CJGF76/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1 it is stainless steel with a rubber exterior. Does not look real flexible! Is there anything else I can use?

How flexible does it need to be?
A good local hardware store should have what you what you need.

That's what I use on my BBQ grill no problem routing it. It will roll up in a 8" are so circle then roll out straight I don't think you will find anything else that will flex as good as it does.

If it wasn't flexible I don't think they could roll it up like that. Unless you are going to move the generator a lot it looks good to me.

Call the place you bought your generator, they should know. Found just what you wanted 20 years ago laying on the highway, has been running my grill for 10 years off of a 100 lb bottle.

The generator is portable, and the hose will be removed and stored when not in use. It is a 10Kw and will run the whole house and I can move it to run my welder. Have had it for 2 years and haven't had an outage, cheapest insurance I ever bought. I run my gas grill with a 1/4 inch rubber hose, but question using 1/2 inch and the fittings. Propane is a bomb waiting to be ignited!

My 9Kw dual fuel portable generator needed a 3/4" ID hose, using full port 3/4" ball valve for natural gas supply. It would run with a 1/2" hose, but bogged down starting heavy load. For Propane; 1/2" may be OK. I used gasoline rated hose with grounding braid. Had the generator about 10 years. Haven't needed it yet!

CSST is meant to be a stationary flexible connection, not what you want for connecting a portable generator.

LP rated rubber hose is common. A local LP supplier should be able to sell you what you need, they usually have bulk hose and crimp ends on as needed.

I used 1/2 inch to make the connection, but on the high pressure 11 psi side of the regulator. The low pressure side used 3/4 push on hose that came with an LP conversion kit. Running 22 hp Kohler engine.
