flint metalic paint

I am going to be painting a 65 diesel and a 180 and am wondering where everyone has been getting their flint
metalic gray paint for the chassis that would be a close match for the original. Thanks

I looked all over last year and could not find it. Apparently Tisco does not carry it any more. Maybe someone will prove me wrong.

Any paint store can mix the paint. I use O'Reilly and buy auto urethane paint for all my show tractors. They can mix different type paint. They should have the mix number for all paint. Depends what your looking for. I haven't seen any at TSC etc stores if your looking for cheaper paint and it will fade bad.

Tractor Supply carries a few Rustoleum 'implement paints'.
Menards had a darker Smoke Gray Rustoleum that looked close to the darker MF flint gray for about half of Tractor Supply when I got my paints this summer.

I painted my 55 'greenbelly' with Rustoleum dark green and light machine gray that matched the original close enough (smoke/flint gray was too dark), thinned the paints and used the infamous Harbor Freight 'purple' HVLP sprayer I have to paint the tractor. My goal was more to protect the tractor and not frighten the other suburbanites around here with having a rusty tractor than making a show-room piece out of it.

There were some pint-sized containers if you wanted to do some spray testing.

I've been waiting for asap to get spray paint back in stock since last spring. Every paint color is sold out.

I get mine from the local Agco dealer. I have only used spray cans though. I have tried the Tisco but the difference between that and the Agco is like night and day. The Agco was much higher quality, sprayed better and was much thicker. A year out and the Tisco is getting bubbly and chipping. I did the same surface prep and spray painted within a couple weeks of the Agco paint in similar weather conditions.

Not sure if Agco sells quarts but probably, worth a call
