Float ride seat

Has anyone ever figured out a way to rig one of these up to work without using the junk torsion springs? Leaf or coil sprung maybe???

When the torsion springs get weak, I've used a Coil spring for like an Old Car Hood.
Run a S Hook on each end from one side to the other with some side chain links to the cross bars.
WOW kinda hard to explain it?? I've got two tractors with helper springs under the cushsion now.

Well back when minnkota was in business I used their reman ones without any issues.
Too bad someone doesn't start back up.

A couple years ago I finally found a couple of good rubber torsion springs after replacing two sets of new junk rubber ones that ripped the first time I sat down on the seat. The new ones have lasted two years without ripping apart. They are a little stiffer than the originals though. Heck of it is I forgot where I got them from. Maybe it's early old-timers setting in. when I get home I will look it up.
