Flywheel on 45' B

Adding another post to my list of questions. I am trying to set the flywheel and I am having a heck of a time trying to get the 2 pinch bolts loose on the back side. Is there a trick to this or a special wrench to get to these? Not a whole heck of a lot of room between the frame and the flywheel and those bolts are set back in there a ways. I know I am probably missing something obvious. Thanks in advance, again.

What do you have to make it look like? When I get home I am going to try a short socket with a universal and long extension.

Does the "special wrench" have a specific name by chance?

Its called a flywheel wrench. If you have a torch you can heat and bend a long socket extension and make one yourself.

I have never had any problems just using a socket, extension and break over bar.

I use a high quality "long" combination wrench and a leather mallet. It will just fit, and I have to turn it over each time so it will grab the next flat.

Heat those puppies up til they"re red then go at em with an extension. Good way to tighten them back up after as well...

The flywheel wrench for your B is the same one furnished for the model H and is shown in the above illustration which is a page from the parts book for your B. The box end of the wrench is what fits the flywheel nuts. The socket end on the straight leg of the wrench is used elsewhere.
