Folding $975 ROPS from Greenes?

Anyone gotten a good look at the folding Ford ROPs Greene's Tractors are listing on ebay?

I've come pretty close to buying a ROPs serveral times, but not folding seems like it would be a real pain. There hasn't been a folding Rops for the Fords for a number of years, and when they were available they were double the price of a non-folder. So this one might be a real bargain. With the NH NY etc rebate if only costs $250 or so.

Wire the ignition through the SEAT BELT BUCKLE... No Buckle, No Run... otherwise don't bother with it.....

Bareco is now making a folding ROPS for Fords, naturally they introduced it months after I bought a non folding ROPS for my 9N.

The misconception that ROPs must always be used with seat belts is is very common but if you look at the results of several tractor injury studies you will find it is not so. A ROPs with a seat belt is claimed to be 99% effective at preventing injury and a ROPs used alone only 70%. Not perfect, but still a lot better than nothing. I think a lot of ROPs owners use the belt when ever they a are doing something stupid, and trust just the belt the rest of the time, a realistic compromise.

Oh, the folding ROPs that Greenes is selling seems to be made by BareCo. YT doesn't appear to list them but sould be able to special order.

A folding ROPS is nice when/if you want to get it in the garage.
I have no data on their strength compared to non-folding.
In hilly terrain, I would assume something is better than nothing.
I sold the one off my 3000 for $50. Simply didn't need it here.
