Food plot herbicide question

I have about 2 acres planted with clover and chicory for the wildlife. The grass is starting to overtake it. It looks like clethodim might be a good choice to control it. Any thoughts or suggestions of something better. What about adding crop oil? Thanks all.

Clethodim is your best choice. Its requires a crop oil per label. I’ve used it for the same reason a couple times. Always worked well.

Brand names would be select, cleanse, fusillade, most farm store brands I believe are labeled clethmodium. It does not need the mso as much as some other things and I’ve never poored in the old school crop oil for it my salesman always gets mad at me when I call the mso crop oil. Multisurfactant oil... we use it for volunteer corn in soybeans

I also believe the mso causes more injury on the plant so I think I’d leave it out I contemplate that every year adding the destiny I’m more likely to use it in corn because it will recover but if you double dose the destiny in soybeans on overlap you can see it the whole year. Alfalfa being closer to a soybean than a corn plant id probably skip it or use half rate oil. And make sure it’s mixed well. You are better off using a full label rate of the clethmodium and skipping the oil. It is sorta pricy stuff 14 bucks an acre last I checked. But it sure kills grass and corn I’ve never seen that fail like I’ve seen about everything else fail.

I skipped the herbicide this year, grass got ahead of me, and am going to clip more often and spot spray the thistles.
