Farmer in the Dells(WI)

I procured a foot operated grinder at a recent sale. The wheel and bearings are in great shape. There is a number 17 stamped in the casting. Does anyone know what that is? Also the wood framework is in bad shape and I was looking to see your grinders for ideas to rebuild mine.
