Work is going to bring me to the Yemassee area for the next 3 weeks. Any thing in the area that you know of thats a must see/do?

Charleston isnt too far, just take 17 straight to it. I think pretty muche all the tractor activities are done for the year, at least in the upstate they are, dont know about down that way. Beauford also isnt far, but Im not sure what all it has to offer, as I was mostly there to shrimp, and never saw much of the town.

Hi!

Had to look that one up, it is the other end of the state for me, I'm in Rock Hill. S.C.. I know little about that area, if you have time to visit Charleston I really enjoyed touring the U.S.S. Yorktown and the other war ships in the harbor. A lot of history there! Of course downtown Charleston it very nice as well.

Sorry I cannot help more.

Mr. Fields, I grew up in Charleston and still have family there. I now live in the upstate of SC. There's lots to do on the coast this time of year, my favorite was eating. The oysters and shrimp are at their best in the Fall. There's a small town North of Beaufort, Murrells Inlet, great restaurants there. Stay away from the tourist trap restaurants in Charleston. If you like fishing, this is a good time of year for wetting a line. The folks talk kinda funny down there, especially in the small towns like Yemassee. In Charleston the places to see are Ft. Sumter, which you can see from the Battery downtown in Charleston, the museum and the old slave market. Patriots Point is worth a visit too.
Hope this helps
