Two of my analog meters both very well used and operational.

Has anyone heard from Majorman? I know he was having issues with a hip replacement and have been wondering how he is doing.

Jim, I still have my Triplett Model 630-PLK but the 30V battery is dead so higher Ohm scales don't work. Still use it on occasions when I suspect AC ripple on top of DC Volts as Digital VOMs do not easily detect the AC ripple also when the 30V battery was working you could detect capacitors that were becoming resistors on the high Ohm scale. The 9V or 3V battery in a Digital VOM on Ohm scale is not enough voltage to detect a failing capacitor until it totally has failed.

My first meter was an analog ,bought it at Acme Electronics in N Minneapolis in about 1970. When it failed I went back and bought a digital, it looks like a Fluke, but it' not, but it's a very good meter.

I texted with him about two weeks ago, in reference to communicating with KCMmn. We didn't discuss his health. However, KCM said he might get back on here on a limited basis soon. steve

Thanks Steve, and while I do miss Majorman's pictures, I was really wondering how he is doing and I hope he is OK. But would love to see KCM post too, I miss his pictures as well.
