Ford 1100

Just bought a Ford 1100 that came with a snow plow and hydraulic lines that are hooked up to the hydraulic valve but not the pump. Can anybody explain to me how to hook up to the pump. I think the pump is sitting below the seat right in back of the transmission shifter. It has a control knob on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Frank

Can't say that I've ever done much plumbing on a 1100.. but under the seat, aft of the tranny is where most fords keep their hyd valves.. ( not their pumps *.. though some of the thousand sereis larger units do have a pump in that area but lower.

Not sure if it's a pump or a valve aft of transmission between drivers legs. It has a couple pipe plugs installed and what looks like a adjustment knob in the center. On right hand side fender ,there is a hydraulic valve with two hoses running up front of tractor to power the snow blade( blade has an up/down hydraulic cylinder) . This hydraulic valve does not have any hydraulic hoses feeding it from pump. The tree point hitch works...it must be run by a pump...would there be two pumps? I have ordered an owners manual but I was hoping to be able to hook up myself Thanks Capt Frank

I think there is only one pump in the rear of that unit that runs the 3 pt hitch and auxiliary hydraulics. I believe on that tractor the rear remote is on the right side under/behind the seat if it's the same as other compact Japanese Fords I have delat with. I believe you need the valve on your transmission for power to the valve on the fender. If you can take a pic of what you have under the seat and the valve on the fender, we can try to help you with suggesting plumbing to make your plow work. There are many different possibilities for what you have, so a picture would be very helpful. My guess is that someone might have pulled the rear remote kit before they sold it to you, or at least had different off-season use for this remote and disconnected it.

I think brian is on to what I was thinking.. IE.. the fender 'generic' valve set is being fed hyd power from the valve block on the tractor.. etc..might be a selector type valve.. etc..

Unless I'm wrong, which I might be, those tractors use much different hydraulic kits from the older American made Fords and I'm not aware of any equivalent to the FV 5902 plate for it, I think you are stuck with buying a valve kit from FNH. That's what we had to do with the 2120, and I believe that the 1100 is similar. That kit was north of $500 for a single valve.

I'm not implying in any way that the 1100 is using an old style ford valve.. I'm saying that many of the new-er fords had a valve block installed on them already. I know my 1920 did. From there.. I'm "guessing" the prev owner tapped power.. etc.

Without the poster giving us any pics.. we are merely shooting in the dark.

I apologize in advance for hi-jacking the post, but what does the valve block look like, operate like, etc on your 1920? I may have had it all along on the 2120 and didn't know it. Any pics or description of how it works? I assume with a PB valve and a return to the sump somewhere else? Thanks. I also find that shooting in the dark is a great way to pass time, and it's hard to be proved wrong!

On the lower right side of my 1920, there was a square blocj.. maybee the size and thickness of a softcover book.. say.. 4x6, and had hardlines from the tractors hyd pump plumbed thru it, and from there to the 3pt. Also had other blocked off ports.. While I never used aux hyds on it, I remember the dealer telling me if I needed aux hyds.. like for a remote or loader i was use 'those ports', and then had to turn a small screw that was inset in the valve block to power those ports.. etc.

Like I say.. i never use dit.. but it was there.. and looked to be oem.

I just looke dont he CNH website.. and the 1920 and the 2120 use the same block now. CNH calls it the :

manifold diverter block, part # SBA340014050

it was oem equipment on both. the 1920 actually had another part number when new.. but it is NLS, and now both models 1920 and 2120 spec that number I posted as the replacement part.. etc.

I see that there was also an optional ASC valve with control knob available for the top cover for those models as well.
