Ford 142 plow

Hello-

Can anyone tell me the good and bad for a Ford 142 moldboard plow? Was this a decent plow, or stay away from it? The one I am interested in is a 4 bottom auto reset. Has the tall springs that stick upward. Would this be a good plow to purchase? Wear parts still available at a decent price?

Who made it for Ford, Oliver I assume? Anyone know the equivalent Oliver model plow? Thanks !

It is a Oliver built plow. Maybe a 546 semi mount or a 446 Pull type
It could come in 3 plow reset types. Spring Trip reset, Auto-reset and Pivot Shear bolt
Don't know anything about how good a plow it was. I think that you should be able to find parts for it
If you do buy it I have a Operators manual, Assemble Manual and I think I still have a Parts manual for it to sell

Not a bad plow I've got one does good job.

Interesting that Ford gave it the same model number whether it was a mounted, semi-mounted or pull type.
I don’t think the Ford semi-mount version is equivalent to the Oliver 546. The hitch and main frame beam is not like the one on an Oliver 546.

I have recently found out that Pittsburgh Forge made the plow for Ford, not Oliver or White.
