1500 2wd. 500 hours great tires (turf) front and rear hyd. Everything works as should. Can anyone tell me about it including value? Thanks in advance for any help.

It's a compact tractor made by Shibaura in Japan for Ford from 1979-1982. They were good little tractors in their day. Parts are getting hard to find these days, and when you can find them they tend to be on the expensive side.

The fact the hour meter only has 500 hours on it doesn't necessarily mean that's the actual hours on the engine. The tach could have been replaced at some point.

Value depends on what part of the country you're in and what others are selling for in your area. The fact that it runs good and has good tires would probably put it somewhere around $2500.00 to $3000.00 around here in southeastern PA. I just looked at my local craigslist and folks seem to be asking a lot more for all tractors than they were 6 months to a year go, so maybe the market has turned and it might go for more.

Dean's right about parts. The 2 cylinders parts are getting scarce . And 2 wheel drive isn't the best . We tried one for a sod field mowing tractor . Had to put it in high range to get any speed and lost a bunch of power in the process. I've had 4 Shibaura built (still got one) and they've all been great tractors, but all been 3 cylinder and 4 wd. I'm not sayin the one your lookin at is bad , but I wouldn't go over $1500.00. Remember it's at least 40 years old. Good Luck.
