Ford 1710 Question

I have a Ford 1710. It has the throttle and a gear shifter on the column. The gear shifter is on the left hand side of the steering column. There is also one gear shifter located on top of the transmission. When I look at 1710 pictures online, I always find two gear shifters on top of the transmission. What is the difference between my 1710 and the ones I have viewed online? Any info about these differences is appreciated.

You have a sycromesh transmission ( and likely a live PTO ) . The shifter on the trans is for range, the shifter on the column is ground speed that you can shift while moving.
