Ford 2000 Hydraulic Leak

My Ford 2000 sprung a large hydraulic leak where the steel tubing enters the transmission and rear end housing, below the brake pedal. It is the smaller diameter metal tubing as shown in the pictures.

Can anyone help with a part number and source?

That's a 1974 3 cylinder 2000 with a diesel engine, live PTO and a 6 speed transmission. The smaller diameter tub is the high pressure line, and the part number is D0NNH867D. The connection is a separate part number that looks like it includes the larger nut, the smaller nut, and an o-ring:

C7NNH856B 1 Nut Assy., Pressure Tube, Housing End

I would take it apart first and see what kind of shape the tube is in, as it most likely only needs the nut assembly with the 2 nuts and the o-ring, which are readily available at partspring.com for $80.47, which is kind of pricey, but Messicks price is $2.00 more, and the Messick's price is what you'll likely find at your local New Holland dealer, if you have one local, but your local dealer may not charge you shipping if you're willing to wair for their next regular parts shipment. Heck, then might even have one or 2 in stock.

The tube, on the other hand, looks to be no longer available new anywhere, so if you do need one, you'll have to start contacting the tractor scrapyards.

I'm reading it different Sean.

From Messicks:
Tube: 84272024 --- $46.92

Nut: C7NNH856C --- $33.43

Rookie, Read the thread at the link below.
I would buy a new nut first and try fixing it with that.
They're talking about the other end of that line where it attaches to the pump but the nut is the same on both ends.
Post back with how it goes.

Ultradog - Good catch. My documents didn't have the new part number that supersedes the original number for the tube, so it looks like it is available.

That part number that you provided for the nut is just the smaller nut though, part labeled 72 in the drawing. The part number that I gave is a kit that includes that small nut, plus the larger nut, as well as the o-ring. The o-ring by itself is part number 89626929, and is only $2.00 on Messicks.

If you're taking the small nut off, it should be replaced to guarantee it won't leak after you put it back together, even if that wasn't the spot where it was leaking before. The o-ring provides the seal between the large nut and the center housing, and that's where it looks like this one is leaking. So you could probably get away with just the small nut and the o-ring, but if you do all that and it still leaks, you'll need to replace the large nut as well, and it is only available as part of the kit that includes the o-ring and the smaller nut, so you'll be buying them all over again anyway. I think that the extra price for the whole kit is worth it to get everything new all at once up front and be done with it.

I had the same problem when grading my drive in January on my "72 2000. Hydraulic fluid leaking bad. Got it to the barn and took apart the footrest and other stuff only to find the nut that hold the tube in place had worked itself loose. Tightened the nut and all is back to normal. Just sayin".
