Ford 2000 pull 2 bottom plow

who knows,
the old tractor may have a tired and worn motor
the plows may not be set right, that makes a big difference in how they pull, points may be worn out.

I have a 1957 gas TO-35 that came from the factory with 3-12" plows, that is quite a load in some soils for the little tractor.

Here in Ohio, my JD "B" (Late Styled) will pull 2-14" in 4th in one field and can hardly pull it in 2nd in others...!!!
Depends a lot on soil conditions and plow condition and settings too..

I had a 71 2000 gas that handled a 2 bottom 14" very well in soil here.

Won't pull for lack of power or for lack of traction?
As dry as Texas has been,pulling a plow in it might be like having it set in concrete.

You don't say which 2000 you have. I can't say if a 4 cyl 2000 will pull it but I can say my 3000 - which is the same tractor as a 3 cyl 2000 - will pull 2 - 16s through sod in our claey loam soil. I have about 300 lbs of cast iron per wheel on it. A 4 cyl 2000 should too.
