First post ! Just bought a 1970 ford 2000 with live pto. I am having trouble with the clutch, with the engine running and clutch to the floor the pto will not engage I have to engage it then start the engine. I can feel the pto part of the clutch towards the bottom it's almost like I run out of room before its disengaged? Any help is appreciated !

Well that eliminates excessive clearance. When the clutch was installed, the inner fingers probably weren't adjusted properly. Probably have to split it, check your discs, if they're good, back your inner finger bolts out evenly. Can't tell you the exact distance between the main fingers and pto fingers, on the 2000. on the blue gooses it was 5/8"

Does your clutch lever have two pin holes? If so make sure the pin and clevis are in the back hole, I believe. Been a lot of years since i messed with one of these.
