I think I figured out my oil pressure problem . I split the tractor apart today and measure my crank journals . Here is what I came up with
Rod bearings. The bearing that where previously install are all marked STD . So I am thinking there was way too much clearance. What size bearing should I order .

Rod
1 2.0735
2 2.0720
3 2.0710
4 2.0690
Main

Front 2.2370
Middle 2.2380
Back 2.2370

Looks like you need .020 for both rods and mains. Check crankshaft carefully. Running that much clearance may have caused some damage, particularly out of round journals. Use plastigage to verify clearance when assembling. Good luck.

Tool you used to check journals?
Outside micrometer...?
What does the service manual tell you, the standard diameter of the Journals?
How many .000 out of round are the Journals?

Standard crank journal is 2.4974 to 2.4988
Out of round tolerance 0.0005
These are the caliper that I used

You need a micrometer not a caliper. You alsi dropped a digit - crank is 2.248/2.249

The crankshaft will need to be reground to the nearest undersize. The machinist will measure it and tell you what you need.

2.4974-2.2370 = 0.2604
2.4674- 2.2380= 0.2594
Your Math...??
See pics I posted yesterday....
A Micrometer ...not calipers....

The only machine shop that I have found that will even work on my crank and block is 2 hrs away and he said there is no guarantee that he will do it .

I found where you said you are in central Georgia. With an idea of major cities near you someone might have a lead on a place you haven't found. No guarantee, but that's where adding a general location to your profile can help sometimes.

How do ai do that
Go to your user name near the top right of the page and click in it. A dropdown window will open. Click on account details. Another window will open. read down the list of options and you should find Location. Type a location in and then click Save at the bottom

Dang
Guess I haven't ran across that model of N tractor that uses that crankshaft
Measuring Journals... (N Fords,etc,etc,) same principle as a 4000 hp V-12 Nordberg....Om line Load 475 rpm

Crank pins were at times ground undersized....undersized up to a maximum of 10% of the standard diameter of the Journal.

Then custom made bearing shells were supplied, yes poured and machined in Sherman Texas USA.

Crank pins were machined while crankshaft was sill in the engine. NO need to remove crankshaft.

"IF" a main Journal was "TOAST"...then a new crankshaft.
V-16, 2 stroke 10,500 HP @ 315 RPM

I was a relief Chief on a mainline Natural Gas Pipeline...
Most days were great.....however retirement is....... ....:)
