Ford 3000 engine stop cable replacement

Anybody have any tips or tricks to get the nut loose on the shut off cable?

I had a stubby 3/4" open end wrench that I used for that job. I think it was about 4" long.

need a slightly bent wrench... two days ago the old one had a 9/16s nut on it and the new one had a 3/4" nut iirc... Most come out with a lot of magic words but I have had to completly pull the cable out, and drill the head off a couple... and that works fairly well also if you can keep it from spinning with the drill.
