Ford 3000 Generator/ Alternator Question?

Have a Ford 3000 that has a Generator that the guts of are missing. I have no history of this tractor. The question is How to go about replacing generator and where to source from? The second issue is the same question but instaead of replacing the Generator how about changing to an alternator and where to source from including the mounting brackets?

IIRC, the odd thing about your 3000 is that the tachometer is driven off the back of the generator. But there are parts and kits available to deal with this.

Yes it is other models also and you are correct that you can get an alternator with a tac drive on it.
