Ford 3000 hydraulic pump

I have a 1965 Ford 3000. Is the plug circled below the bleed plug? If I loosen this while running should oil squirt out?

I'm pretty sure that it is the larger hex head plug on the side that I highlighted in the picture below.

Service manual shows small one but either will work.

My pump does not have the larger plug as your are indicating. Most threads show the larger one on outside the pump but mine does not have that one.

I don't have my Ford manual handy, but my I&T manual shows the larger plug on the side is the bleed pump.

Yours must be a replacement pump. Use the small one then.

Rest of the story. So mine does have the bigger side plug. Kind of down lower and did not see. Loosened plug and injected 20 psi into differential housing while tractor was running. There was a slow drip drip out of the plug. It took a quite few minutes to prime. I was almost going to give up and up went the three point arms. Lets see if it holds the prime for a few days. Thanks for the help. Arms seem to go up slow but I have never owned a 3000. Speed control knob screwed in all the way.
