Ford 3000 main bearing cap

Hello,

Does anyone know where I can find a main bearing cap for a 3000? I ve looked online and can t find em anywhere

They are not designed to be replaced. This is why you cannot find
one. If you do locate one in a wrecking yard, it most likely will not
work. The block would need to be line bored at a machine shop.

You cannot buy main bearing caps as they are part of the block and are not interchangeable. If you
get one from a scrap block, you will have to have the block line bored and use oversize outside
bearings, if any are still available.

I may have a couple of main caps.
IF... I have some they would be up at my
property in a destroyed engine block.
I will be going up there over Labor Day and
could check.
Which one/s do you need?
As said below, you would need to have your
block line bored afterwards but it would be a
way to salvage a block.
I don't need any $ for it but you would need
to pay shipping.
