Ford 3000 ROPS

Hey guys! I m new to the tractor scene and recently purchased 70 acres or fairly hilly land. I have a Ford 3000 tractor with filled tires that are widened out but I do not have a toll bar. Does anyone know where to purchase one or have any plans to build one? ( I can fabricate one of necessary if anyone has any plans). Thanks in advance for all the help!

Those are nice plans but I'd want to make a couple of changes.
For the main post I'd want 2x4x1/4 wall tubing and for the top cross piece as well.
Once it was assembled and in place I'd weld the main post to the top mounting angle.

I agree with your thoughts. I was surprised that anyone/any
outfit would dare wade into this area. A used factory Ford unit
would be my first choice.

To the OP: don?t forget to add a seat belt, and use it. Also, in
at least one other post on this site, a suggestion was made to
add duals to the back wheels.

I had one of those. Sold it for $50. There was no seatbelt on the
tractor and without one, the ROPS is mostly for peace of mind.

We've ran narrow front/tricycle tractors around here all my life
and we always hear how "unstable" they are but the only tractor
ever tipped over on our farm was a wide front Farmall A.

(quoted from post at 20:02:00 12/01/19) What part of the world are you in?
I have a shop built ROPS I don't need. I'm in Michigan.

We are located in Northern Ky. I have a few friends in Michigan actually.

Thanks for the response everyone. I m going to look around for a used factory ROPS and if I can t find one I might take on the project of fabricating one. The tractor already has a new seat with seat belt just no reason to wear it lol.

(quoted from post at 08:30:47 12/02/19) A person on another forum said that they found a new ROPS for a 3000 from a third party company called Bare Co.

https://www.bare-co.com/files-rop-rop1

Said they were quoted $780 plus $100 shipping.

If you buy a new one you might qualify for the Federal rebate program, which is administered by the individual states:

BareCo now sells a folding ROPS which is handy. They didn't offer it when I bought mine or else I would have bought it. I plan on getting one for my new Massey Ferguson 150 soon.
