Well, i changed the torque coupler, and that is not what it was, any guesses, i have no movement, forward or reverse.Other wise this tractor is perfect......LOL

If you follow the manual carefully you should be able to narrow down the problem. Does the PTO work, as in will it drive a load? If not, it sounds almost like a pump problem, which would be indicated by no pressure at all.

You already have good advice from others, not sure where you are located, I have two good working trans. No longer have the tractor, if you need them let me know. Several things can lead to your problem, with manual start at the front splines and work your way back.

(quoted from post at 12:02:04 09/05/22) Are you located on the western side of the country by chance? I may be interested in your transmission(s).

Got any xtra SOS shift cables Bern?

Do you mean that it's leaking from the vent on the lower steering gearbox housing? If so, that means that the lower seal below the steering control valve is leaking.

Having 205 lbs. on one servo means that the pump is working, but having zero on the other two means that there is at least one internal leak that is keeping the pressure from getting to the two other servos, or else something is clogging the gear selector control valve so no fluid can flow to those two servos.

Hello. Do you still have the transmissions? I have a 63 4000 sos. With tranny not working. And I don t have a mechanic in the area that has worked on these. Is the tranny the same as the 3000?
Thanks

Your 1963 400 is a pre-1965 4 cylinder tractor. The 3000 is a 1965+ 3 cylinder tractor. The 3 cylinder thousand series tractors were redesigned from the ground up for 1965, and the transmissions from the 1965+ thousand series models will not mate up with the engine or rear axle center housing of a pre-1965 tractor.
