ok guys, i have another question, I have a 1971 ford 3000 sos, i just got the tranny all fixed and working good, Now i have no pto action at all, I pull the lever and i get nothing, any ideas? Thanks all By the way,i did replace that seal on the power steering and all is well, thanks.

It should be a T handle that you pull, not a lever. It connects to a cable that goes through a conduit down to the top of the transmission. There is a procedure described in the service manual for adjusting the cable for proper PTO operation. It involves screwing the end of the cable itself into or out of the part on the control valve inside the trans that the cable moves to engage the PTO.

Do you have a copy of the I&T FO-20 Service Manual? There is a good chapter all on the S-O-S in it. I can scan the pages and send them to you if you want - my email is open.

I need that T handle, conduit and cable for my 63 sos. Any idea of where I could order from?

You did not mention the model of your tractor, so I assume that it is a 4 cylinder 2000 or 4000, and not a 6000. The part for the entire assembly which includes the T handle, conduit and cable for the 2000 and 4000 models is C0NNA730C. Unfortunately, I do not see it available anywhere at the moment. hopefully someone here might know of one. If not, then your best bet is to call around to tractor salvage yards.
