i have a ford 3000 it seems the drag links are different lengths from right to left,...the left one is 2 inches longer,...is this a ford thing,..or did someone before me miss match them,..it does steer goofy,..thats why i started all the measureing

The Parts list shows some different length parts.
Give it a look and see what you can find.

Was your tractor a early 3000 or late 3000 model? I think the early 3000 were similer to the 800 Model.

its an early 68,...i been looking at it and found another to compare it to,..and the left one on that one is longer too,..seems that the steering arm shafts are offset,..hence the difference in lenght,...i just gotta figure out how to sync. my arms i think,the left one turn way further to the right,..but both seem relativly the same to the left,...which is confusing,...but with much time and some measuring,..i will prolly prevail,..,...are the late one and the early ones different??

Yeh they were different tractors altogether.

I am not sure why Ford did that. All it did was confuse Tisco and Ford parts people that wern't born When the tractors were built.

Wasn't it the early 2000 and 4000 that looked like the old 801? So far as I know, the 3000 didn't exist in the earlier 4cyl version. Split to newer 3cyl 2000/3000/4000 series came in 1965 if I am remembering correctly.

Yes. I stand corrected. The 2000 looked like the 600 and the 4000 looked like the 800.

Then came the newer ones (a different tractor all together)

I did mention it get's confusing.:<}
