Ford 3400

I bought a rebuilt starter for my 3400 a year ago during restoring it. returned my core at that time. Turns out the starter drive is incorrect (Gear to small). I have ordered a new starter which ends up being the same. I can't find a starter or drive with the larger gear. What is the correct starter drive?

No answers but a couple of questions;
Gas or diesel? And where did you buy the starters?
Is it possible that someone changed out the engine and reused a diesel ring gear with a gas starter?
I don't know if you can even find the correct drive gear to do that but you never know.

it is gas with the old ford style solenoid and starter.

D7NN11001ARXL starter. Could it be the drive?
