ford 3600 temp sensor

[ford 2600 in maine]

I installed a manual temp gague on my 3600. Initially, it worked fine, but now does not register. On initial installation, I also installed a new thermostat and the radiator is full with new coolant. All connections are tight with no leaks. Any ideas?

manual temp gauges work with a hollow tube full of gas pressure. Once the line is kinked, pinched, or cracked, the gauge is broke and will no longer work. No repairs, so it has to be replaced.

Thank you for your reply. Its brand new I have checked the tube for kinks, cracks, etc. and it looks solid but, when in doubt replace it.

When in doubt test it. Pretty simple, remove the sensor and place it some hot water along with a thermometer.
