Ford 3930 pto help

Trying to get some guidance on the PTO for this tractor. The tractor was originally built from the factory for laying sod. So the PTO was never actually used, but it has all the inner workings. Added the shaft, but it's not engaging. The 3 point lift works perfectly fine. I'm wandering if this thing should have a 2nd hydraulic pump "with the gear" in order to work the PTO any help is appreciated. I added a photo of where I believe the 2 pump would go

The optional 2nd hydraulic pump has nothing to do with the PTO. What "shaft" did you add? Can you attach pic? Do you have the control lever on the LH side of the lift cover?
