Ford 4000 Hydraulic System problem

Hello all,

I have a Ford 4000 3-cylinder diesel with one speed 540 PTO. I have a two bottom plow attached to the 3-point link bar for about 6 months. Now I tried to lift the two bottom plow and nothing happend. I unhooked the two bottom plow and still nothing. Has anyone experience such problem? What could be wrong? Does it has anything to do with low hydrolic or rear axle fluid?

First off you're likely to find folks that know those 3 cyl Fords here on the N Forum but you'll find more of them if you post on the Ford Board.
Is that tractor a gear stick model or is it a Select O Speed?
Big difference in the hyd pumps.
Gear stick model is like the Ns that have their hyd pump deep in the belly of the rear center housing and never need bleeding. SOS model would have a side mounted pump and could lose prime. Post more info for better diagnosis.

Thanks Ultradog MN, My tractor is a stick shift.
One stick on the right is to shift for low and high. The one on the left is to change the speed 1,2,3, and R.
